| Our first home. We bought it 1975 and five days later left New Zealand for 7 months in Minnesota. It was rented out and didn't suffer too much from it. Everything was overgrown, with the lawn reaching half a meter. Spent 5 years fixing it up. We moved back to Minnesota in 1980 and it rented out to 3 sets of tennants. The first couple included a former student and they have remained lifelong firends. The middle ones damaging doors, floors and windows. The third were a Dutch family who re-wallpapered and replaced light fittings. It was in sad shape and no longer big enough for us. So we sold it "as is" to a builder who didn't even inspect the inside. He just wanted the land to put up a couple more houses. | ||
