| This 2.5 mile (round-trip) trail is the only one that can be done without a guide. Gail and I began the 500 ft descent around 7PM in temps around 80°F. Going down was easy enough, but why does some old guy always run past us both directions before we can even reach bottom? | |||

| Going up, Gail found it tough to breathe (left her puffer in the car!) and we made many mini-stops. Left my new drink bottle carrier at one of the rests, but luckily an Indian girl caught up with us and returned it. The sun was setting just as we got back to the top. | |||
