Tom and I buddied up at staging and continued doing things together in Hawaii. He was very openly against
all the rules and meetings. He had a lot of talks with staff and we were worried that he wouldn't make it. So it was
a relief when we were told that he had been accepted. Still true to form, as soon as we were sworn in at Hilo, he and I
split and went back to Ookala. Only saw him a few times in Nausori. In 1971 he refused to talk to me because I hadn't sent him a birthday card.
He married Joe Gibson's niece and went local in 1972. Tom was found in Conn. in 1987. |
